Welcome to LUMP!

LUMP is a social app and website developed and operated by Oxholm Invest AS (org. no. 926 096 567), located at Fjørevegen 20, 6856 Sogndal, Norway. We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Norwegian privacy laws.

1. Who is the data controller?

2. What information do we collect?

Website

We do not collect any personal information when you visit the LUMP website. The website is purely informational and only contains public content such as app descriptions, contact details, and legal documents.

App

We collect the following information when you use the LUMP app:

  • a) When logging in via Vipps or MobilePay:
    • Full name (used in the app)
    • Phone number (used only to retrieve your Vipps/MobilePay profile; not shared or visible to others)
    • Email address and postal address (received but not used in the app)
    • Age and gender (saved to your user profile, not displayed to other users)
  • b) Provided by you:
    • Short bio (optional)
    • Profile picture (optional)
  • c) Collected automatically:
    • IP address and device information (only when necessary for functionality or security)
    • Location data (if you grant permission)
    • Camera and/or gallery access (only if you choose to upload a profile picture)
    • Device tokens (for delivering push notifications)
    • Notification permission status
    • Payment status (handled securely via Vipps or Apple IAP for subscription purposes)

3. What do we use the information for?

We use your data for the following purposes:

  • To create and manage your user account
  • To retrieve and confirm your Vipps profile
  • To verify age and make sure no users under 18 years can access the app
  • Gender is used solely for eligibility and moderation in specific features (such as Uncensored)
  • To display activities near your location
  • To deliver push notifications
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions (via Vipps)
  • To maintain app and website security
  • To improve app and website functionality through internal analytics (we do not use third-party tracking or sell your data)

We do not sell your data to any third parties.

Our legal basis for processing your data is the necessity to provide the LUMP service (GDPR Article 6 (1)(b)), your consent (GDPR Article 6 (1)(a)), and compliance with legal obligations (GDPR Article 6 (1)(c)). 

4. Where is the information stored?

All personal data is stored on cloud platforms provided by Google Firebase and Amazon Web Services (AWS), with data centers located in the European Union (EU). We fully comply with GDPR and Norwegian data protection regulations.

5. Do we share your information with others?

No. We do not share your personal data with third parties unless:

  • It is technically required to deliver core app or website services (e.g., Firebase, AWS, Vipps), and
  • The parties involved comply with applicable privacy and data protection laws.

6. Location and permissions

LUMP requests certain permissions from your device:

  • Location – used to show nearby activities (core functionality)
  • Camera/gallery – only used if uploading a profile picture
  • Notifications – used to deliver activity alerts and messages
  • You can withdraw permissions at any time via your device settings.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the information we hold about you
  • Correct or delete your information
  • Receive your data in a portable format (data portability)
  • Withdraw your consent at any time

We offer an in-app “Delete Me” function to permanently delete your account and all personal data.

We keep your personal data only as long as necessary to provide our services. If you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed without undue delay. 

8. How to delete your account

To delete your account, go to: Settings → Delete Account
This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
All your data, including profile, messages, activities, and subscriptions, will be deleted.

9. Age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use the LUMP app. Your age is verified through Vipps/MobilePay login. 

We do not knowingly process data of users under 18. If we become aware of such use, the account will be deleted. 

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The privacy policy may change without individual notification. Due to limitations in the app, such as not collecting users’ email addresses, we are unable to notify you directly.

We recommend that you check the privacy policy regularly. Your continued use of the app and/or website after updates constitute acceptance of the revised privacy policy.
